1.Application and Features

1.1 Features

Roots blowers, classified into category of positive displacement rotary blower, are typically characterized by following features in practical operation:

(1) Flow fluctuating slightly while pressure is varied within allowable range.

(2) A wide range for selecting pressure.

(3) Transmitted air is free from oil.

(4) Simple configuration.

(5) Easy maintenance.

(6) Long service life.

(7) Slightly vibration.

1.2 Application

This type of roots blowers is specially applied to handling clean gas, clean air, carbon dioxide and other inert gases; widely applied to metallurgy, chemical industry, chemical fertilizer, concrete, pneumatic conveying, sewage treatment, environmental protection, aquaculture and any other industrial sectors.

2. Properties and Specifications

Inlet Condition: Inlet Pressure 101.3 kpa (1 atm); Inlet temperature 20°C; 

RH 50%.

Boost Pressure: Static differential pressure between suction and 

discharge chambers when inlet pressure is 101.3kpa.

3. Installation

  This model of blowers can be installed as general mechanical equipment installation standard. As followings should be noted:

   A, Secondary perfusion method should be taken on foundation bolt.

   B, Floor for installation of unit should be poured into convex and flat. Proper space should be kept around unit according to the direction of suction and discharge and also the need of maintenance. 

   C,Before installation, it must be assured that there’s no dirt in the casing. Close the suction and discharge chambers and clean the rust and welding slag in the pipe at all. When connected with the blower, it should be assured that there’s no gas leak on all flange joints.

   D, When the dustiness over 100mg/hour with air conveyed, it’s suggested that an air filter should be installed on the front end of the muffler for suction chamber.

   E, Muffler should be installed close to the suction and discharge chambers of blower (in the front of a pressure instrument).

   F, A pressure instrument should be assembled close to the suction and discharge chambers of blower. When blower is in the statement of load running, the pressure instrument can show the alarm sign for users.

   G, For security operation with blowers, unit should not load pipe, valve, frame and etc. additionally that must be supported by other things. Flexible joints should be assembled onto the pipes of suction and discharge chambers to remove the influence of pipe vibration and thermal deformation.

   H, Right place of blower and motor must be calculated. The horizontal position between pedestal and ground can be adjusted with adjusting block; the tolerance allowance is 0.2/1000.

   I, Never damage the working gap in blower when installation. Roll the rotors smoothly without any strike and friction.
